Joyous Spaces has many functions following the interests of owner Joy Alberts, a Landscape Designer and Naturalist. Joy's interests have taken her through many entrepreneurial adventures including boutique nursery owner, garden coach, floral designer and hobby herbalist. Her garden designs celebrate biodiversity and the ebb and flow of nature with sophisticated designer style taking cues from Mother Nature herself.​

HOW WE WORK
GARDEN DESIGN
We help our clients reimagine their outdoor space creating their own happy place. Each project is unique and should reflect the way our clients live and relate to the natural world. To evaluate the site and get an understanding of how you envision using the space there is a $125 consultation fee. A proposal stating the scope of work will be emailed within 1 week of the consultation with an assigned design fee. If you agree to move forward in the design process we require a 20% deposit. A site measurement is scheduled and the design process begins. Your design package includes a conceptual layout plan, details of any design features (think fire pit, fences and pergolas), a detailed planting plan and information on the plant cultural requirements (watering, type of soil, etc). A typical turn around time for this process is 2-3 weeks. We can work with our clients to find the best landscape contractor for the project. For our DYI clients we are available for questions, project oversight and sourcing of plant materials for an hourly fee. What can we help you create?
